All flights between Bangkok and Paro stop at Calcutta or Gaya in India or Dacca, Bangladesh and flights between Paro and Delhi stop at Kathmandu. The the number of seats for Calcutta, Kathmandu, Dhaka and Gaya are limited to few because Druk Air gives preference to the origination or final sectors.

Druk Air currently operates two Airbus A319-114 with seating capacity of 124 passengers including 8 Business Class seats. In Bangkok, Druk Air uses the new airport (BKK) Suvarnabhumi International Airport.

Discounts: Please note that fuel surcharges, taxes are still applicable on discount fares.
Infant Fare: 90% discount on the base fare for Infants (below the age of 2years) Child Fare: 33% discount on base fare for Children (below 12 years on the date of travel) Student Discount: 25 % discount on base fare for Student (must be below 25 years of age and proof to show that one is a full time student, including ID card) Group Discount: For every 11th passenger, there is 50% discount on 1 pax or OR 1 person travel free for every 16th passengers. All passengers must be traveling on the same route and purchasing flight tickets at the same time. Taxes and insurance etc are still charged.

Taxes: In addition to the above fares, following taxes must be paid at the time of purchase of tickets. Any flights departing from Paro, Bhutan are taxed $19. Flight from Bangkok is taxed at $25. Flights out of India to Bhutan on economy or coach class is taxed $6 only, but for Business class the tax is $56. Flights from Nepal are taxed locally and you have to pay in local currency in cash (approx $20)

Booking Druk Air:Druk Air booking is centralized in Bhutan. Travel agents outside cannot issue their tickets and ticket must be purchased directly from Druk Air with payment through local agents such as Wind Horse Tours. Credit card payments are not accepted by Druk Air and therefore there will be an extra fees if you decide to pay by credit card. Druk Air fares are based on the US Dollars. Baggage allowance on Druk Air is 20Kgs (2 piece max) for coach and 10kgs more for Business class passengers. Though Druk Air is known to be quite lenient with excess baggage, as per the information available to us, Druk air charges following excess luggage fees per Kg. From or to Bangkok$5. From or to Delhi $4 and from or to other places $2-2.50/kg.
