What needs to be done for special permits to visit the area in ladakh ?

You need permit only for areas like Pangong Lake, Tsomoriri Lake, dha-hanu area and nubra valley. For permit tourist should possess original passport and valid Indian visa but if you are diplomat or UN staff then it has to be issued from New Delhi ministry of external affairs.
