What is the best thing to do if pestered by beggars and street urchins?
Do not give money to pan-handlers. Indians have been trying to get rid of the begging profession. The best way to avoid beggers is to ignore them or give them a stern "NO" nod. And even if they insist the best is to give them something to eat (fruits, candy, biscuits etc.) rather than giving money.
