India is known for it’s diverse wildlife. Indian Wildlife and Tiger expedition tour 2016 takes you to explore decent number of big cats, the most important highlight of any wildlife safari. This tour stretches in the span of 14 nights & 15 days with rendezvous wildlife of the region by visiting popular national parks such as Bandhavgarh National Park and Kaziranga National park.

The Tiger Expedition would leave you enchanted as it takes you to visit the world famous “Khajuraho Group of Monuments”. They are UNESCO World Heritage Site having erotic sculptures over the temples. The monuments are of two distinct religions; Jainism and Brahmanism (Hindu).

Varanasi is one of the most holy city of India. Sunrise boat ride in Ganges river gives you an impression of daily rituals and prayers. Stroll in the narrow streets filled with merchants, locals, sellers, saints, and holy ‘cows’ as well which will spell-bound you in its environment.

Kaziranga National Park is a World Heritage Park in Assam, India. Tiger population density in this National Park is one of the highest in India and the world. This is the result of strong protection measures by the stakeholders. This park supports the highest number of ‘One-horned Rihnos’ on the Indian subcontinent. One can experience the park with Elephant Safari or can opt for a Light vehicle Jeep for the same. Foot safari is not allowed inside the park.  ‘Jorhat’ is 90 kms. away from Kaziranga National Park and is the closest airport. Tiger Expedition tour in national park is an amazing experience and captivating as well.

Outline Itinerary 

Day 1: Arrival in Delhi.
Upon arrival meet our representative get an assisted transfer to your hotel.Get acquainted with City.Evening at leisure. Overnight in Radisson Blu Plaza.

Day 2:In Delhi.
After breakfast full day visiting New Delhi’s attractions like Laxmi Narayan Temple, India Gate and Parliament House. After lunch, explore the tourist attractions of Old Delhi including Jama Masjid, Red Fort and Gandhi memorial. Overnight in Delhi.

Day 3:In Delhi.
We take you to visit World Heritage sites of Qutb Minar, an early 13th-century red sandstone minaret that rises 238 feet into the air, and Humayun’s Tomb, an impressive example of early Mogul architecture. Stop in at the Okhla Bird Sanctuary, whose residents include striated babblers, white-tailed stone chats, and streaked weavers.
Overnight in Delhi.

Day 4:Delhi- Khajuraho – Panna
After breakfast, fly to Khajuraho to visit a stunning group of Hindu and Jain temples that date back a thousand years. Wander through this World Heritage site covered in magnificent sculptures. Continue overland to Panna National Park, a wildlife reserve that links animal populations of the eastern and western parts of the Vindhya Range.

Day 5:In Panna.
Embark on morning and afternoon game drives in the Panna wilderness.India’s native deer species, including the Sambar, Chital, and Chousingha and the Nilgai, Asia’s largest antelope. Search for elusive predators such as leopards and Dholes (Indian wild dogs) and look for sloth bears perched on rocky escarpments. With luck, we may see our first tiger, as efforts to stabilize a small population of tigers in Panna are ongoing. Between drives, relax at our hilltop lodge overlooking a watering hole where animals come to drink. If water levels permit, take a boat ride on the Ken River to see several species of water birds or a large mugger crocodile basking on the river bank.

Days 6, 7, & 8:In Bandhavgarh
Drive to Bandhavgarh National Park which now boasts one of the highest concentrations of wild tigers in India. Spend two days on safari in the park, tracking more than 40 resident tigers and spotting other wildlife: black-faced Hanuman langurs, macaques, wild boar and a variety of bird species, including Bonelli’s eagles, malabar pied hornbills, and perigrine falcons. See the enormous reclining statue of Lord Vishnu known as Shesh Shaiya, which dates back to the tenth century. If you prefer, set out on a guided bird watching walk and visit a local village in lieu of a game drive. In the evenings, take in a traditional dance performance or relax around the bonfire under the stars.

Day 9: Khajuraho-Varanasi Flight
Take a scenic drive to Khajuraho and board a flight to Varanasi, India’s holiest city. Evening to relax at our luxury hotel, or venture out to the banks of the river Ganges to attend the evening aarti, a prayer ceremony where hundreds of ghee candles are set afloat on its waters. Overnight in Taj Gateway Ganges.

Day 10: Varanasi- Kolkata Flight
Begins with a sunrise boat ride on the Ganges to observe daily rituals and prayers, and stroll through the bazaars. Then fly to historic Kolkata, the capital of British India from 1772 to 1911 and one of the largest British trading centers in the world. Drive through Dalhousie Square, past the Writers’ Building, and the impressive government buildings. Visit Mother House of the Missionaries of Charity, stroll through halls where Mother Teresa lived and worked and visit her tomb. Overnight in Oberoi Grand.

Day 11: Kolkata- Jorhat flight /Kaziranga National Park.
Fly to Jorhat in India’s eastern State of Assam and continue overland to Kaziranga National Park. Check into our lodge, set among bamboo groves and fruit orchards, and get settled in private cottages built on stilts in the local tradition.
Overnight in Diphlu River Lodge.

Days 12 & 13: Kaziranga National Park.
Stretching along the edge of the Brahmaputra River, Kaziranga National Park is a World Heritage site and one of the last unspoiled wildernesses in eastern India. The park and its environs have been designated a tiger reserve and a Bird Life International Important Bird Area. Explore the varied landscapes by elephant and by 4×4 vehicle venturing through fields of elephant grass, marshlands, and dense forests to find tigers, greater one-horned rhinoceroses, Asian elephants, water buffalo, and more than 300 species of birds. Experience everyday life outside the park on an optional village walk,with lush tea plantations along the way. If you choose, take a boat ride on the Brahmaputra River to search for aquatic wildlife. Celebrate our last evening with a festive farewell dinner and a traditional dance performance.

Days 14 & 15:Kaziranga-Jorhat and flight to Kolkata
After a final morning game drive, fly from Jorhat to Kolkata and check into day rooms. Enjoy time to relax before transferring to the airport for overnight flights home.
