Brief Itinerary

The walking tour starts from Thamel, there are several routes through alleys and narrow streets leading to Durbar Square. We choose the one past Thahitiy that goes through the lively and busy markets of Asan and Indrachowk. Asan Tol and Indrachowk have been the city’s marketplace since ancient times. Here you can observe the daily lives of the locals. Along the way, visit some local temples, shrines, shops, and typical Newari residential buildings.

Next, we head towards Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It consists of several shrines and temples, including the Kumari Ghar, Kasthmandap, Jagannath temple, Kal Bhairav, Swet Bhairav, and Hanuman Dhoka.

Our final destination is the Swayambunath temple, another UNESCO World Heritage site. Located on a hilltop, Swayambunath provides the most spectacular view of the Kathmandu valley. On the return journey, we take a different route from  Swayambhunath to Thamel(total of 5-6hrs).
