The Annapurna Panorama Trek is an enchanting journey that traverses the diverse landscapes of the Annapurna region, commencing from Tikhedhunga, followed by a picturesque drive from Pokhara. Meandering through captivating rhododendron and juniper forests, this trail unveils glimpses of the majestic Himalayan panoramas. Among the highlights of this trek is the breathtaking spectacle of the sunrise over the Himalayas from Poon Hill.

Trekking further leads you to the iconic Annapurna Base Camp. Along the way, the trail offerscaptivating sights of Machhapuchhre, Mt. Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, and Annapurna III peaks. Whereas, Tadapani, Chomrong, and Bamboo serve as significant stopovers, adding to the overall experience and allowing trekkers to immerse themselves in the local culture and scenery.

After trekking through the breathtaking Annapurna Base Camp, the return path journey back through Chomrong and Bamboo, culminating at Jhinu Danda. From Jhinu Danda, we will hike to Siwai or Syauli Bazaar and board a private 4WD vehicle and drive to Pokhara.

Day 1:

Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu airport, a Wind Horse representative will meet you and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure until the evening. Later in the evening, there will be a briefing followed by dinner, along with a cultural performance, at a traditional Nepalese restaurant. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2:

In Kathmandu

Today, we will visit three UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Kathmandu Valley: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudhanath Stupa, and Pashupatinath Temple.

At Kathmandu Durbar Square, we will explore the area around the former palace of the kings of Nepal, viewing various temples and monuments. Following that, we will drive to Boudhanath Stupa, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal. Here, we will circumambulate with pilgrims and visit the surrounding monasteries. Afterward, we will proceed to the holiest Hindu temple in Nepal, Pashupatinath Temple. The evening is free for you to shop for any last supplies or gear needed for your upcoming trek. Day 3:

Drive to Pokhara

The drive to Pokhara is a picturesque journey that unveils the stunning beauty of the Nepalese countryside. Meandering along the riverbanks, the route showcases quaint local villages, terraced farmlands, and the backdrop of the majestic Himalayas. Upon reaching Pokhara, you can take the opportunity to unwind at the hotel or explore aroundthe lakeside area. Overnight in Pokhara.

The drive to Pokhara usually takes around 6-7 hours, but the duration can vary depending on traffic and the road condition.

Day 4:

Drive to Tikhedhunga-Trek to Ulleri

The journey from Pokhara to Tikhedhunga involves a drive along the Pokhara Baglung highway, passing through scenic landscapes before reaching Tikhedhunga. This is the starting point for the Annapurna Panorama Trek.

Starting from Tikhedhunga, you’ll trace route along the Bhurungdi Khola valley. Crossing over the Bhurungdi Khola, it is a challenging uphill climb of about 3,000 stone steps leading to the village of Ulleri. Ulleri is a beautiful village located at an elevation along the trail, offering a glimpse of the local culture, traditional houses, and stunning vistas of the surrounding mountains. Overnight in Ulleri.

The section of the drive from Nayapul to Tikhedhunga is over a dirt road, to avoid the dust and the traffic, we will drive until Tikhedhunga and begin our trek to Ulleri.

Day 5:

Trek to Ghorepani

After departing from Ulleri, the trail ascends gradually through a breathtaking forest of rhododendron , Nepal’s national flower. During the spring season, these woodlands transform into a kaleidoscope of vibrant colors as the rhododendrons bloom, casting a magical atmosphere along the path.

As you continue climbing higher, the views become more breathtaking, offering glimpses of the snocapped peaks like Annapurna South, Nilgiri South, and other surrounding mountains. The panoramic vistas become increasingly impressive.

Upon crossing the Nange Thati River, you will proceed toward Ghorepani. Ghorepani is a popular stopover nestled amidst the mountains, known for its stunning views, particularly during sunrise from Poon Hill. Overnight in Ghorepani.

Day 6:

Trek to Tadapani

Starting early before dawn allows you to witness the gradual unveiling of the stunning scenery as the sun rises, casting its golden hues upon the snow-capped peaks like Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Nilgiri, Hiunchuli, and South Annapurna. The panoramic vista from Poon Hill is truly awe-inspiring and well worth the early start.

After relishing this beautiful moment, retrace your steps to Ghorepani for breakfast. Leaving Ghorepani continue along the ridge through pine and rhododendron forests towards Deurali . From Deurali, it is gradual decent passing by stunning waterfalls, gurgling streams, and lush forests to Banthati before finally arriving at Tadapani. Overnight in Tadapani.

Trek to Chhomrong

Beginning the descent from Tadapani, you’ll pass through vibrant rhododendron forests and terraced fields, enjoying the picturesque beauty of the surrounding. The path gradually leads towards Kimrong Khola, transitioning from a steep downhill to a gentler incline, revealing an evolving landscape along the journey.

Continuing from Kimrong Khola, the trail gradually ascends towards Chommrong, situated strategically on the slopes of the Annapurna range. Chommorng offers breathtaking panoramas of towering peaks including Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, and the majestic Machapuchare. Overnight in Chhomrong.

Trek to Dovan

Beginning with a descent to Chhomrong Khola, the trail is a gradual uphill hike followed by a steep ascent past Sinuwa. Traversing through a bamboo forest, the trail meanders alongside the Modi Khola and arrive at Bamboo. Bamboo is a popular stopover along this route, continuing further along the Modi Khola the trail undulates through the dense vegetation and you will eventually arrive at the villaage of Dovan. Overnight in Dovan.

Trek to Himalaya

Todays hike is a gradual uphill hike passing through bamboo glades and rhododendron bushes with the breathtaking views and immersing in the natural beauty before finally arriving at Himalaya. Overnight in Himalaya.

Trek to Annapurna Base Camp

The journey begins with a gentle incline that progressively steepens while traversing the mountainside. En route, breathtaking panoramas of the neighboring peaks unfold, showcasing the grandeur of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Mt. Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gandharvachuli, and Gangapurna from the Machhapuchhre Base Camp.

Continuing for approximately two or more hours along a rocky trail from Machhapuchhre Base Camp you will eventually reach the Annapurna Base CampThis final leg of the journey rewards you with a breathtaking panorama of the Annapurna massif and its peaks. The stunning view serves as a testament to the natural beauty and grandeur of the region, making the arduous trek worthwhile for those who reach this point.

Nestled at an altitude of approximately 4,130 meters, is surrounded by towering peaks and offers a unique perspective of the amphitheater-like landscape formed by these majestic mountains. Overnight in Annapurna Base Camp.

Trek to Bamboo

The return journey retraces the path from Annapurna Base Camp, descending through Machhapuchre Base Camp, Deurali, Himalaya, Dovan, and concluding at Bamboo. This segment of the trek primarily involves downhill terrain, providing distinct perspectives of the scenery and mountain vistas compared to the upward journey. Overnight in Bamboo.

Trek to Jhinu Danda-Drive to Pokhara

Today’s hike begins with a steep uphill climb that gradually transforms into a more leisurely flat walk until arriving at Sinuwa. The path descends through stone stairs until reaching the Chhomrong Khola. Crossing over the Chhomrong Khola it is a steep ascent towards Chhomrong,

From Chhomrong, the trail gradually descends, leading over narrow stone stairs to Jhinu Danda. Here, you can unwind and revitalize yourself at the natural hot springs before resuming your trek towards Siwai or Syauli Bazaar. Upon reaching Siwai or Syauli Bazaar, we will transit into a private vehicle and drive to Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara.
