Tamshingphala Choedpa

Tamshingphala Choepa festival is held in Tamshing Monastery. The monastery belongs to Nyingma sect and follows the Pelling tradition of Pema Lingpa. Tamshing Temple, in the Bumthang valley is celebrated for its cultural significance, mission and direct connection to the Buddhist Bhutanese saint Pema Lingpa. Tamshing is headed by The Venerable Lhalung Sungtrul Rinpoche the 11th direct incarnation of Pema Lingpa. The monastery was built in in 1501 by Pema Lingpa .
