This tour will take you through the cultural and historical highlights of Kathmandu valley to the scenic hill station of Nagarkot. Explore the historical and religious landmarks of the Kathmandu valley. Visit the Swayambhunath temple, the most sacred Buddhist shrine in Nepal. Similarly, pay a visit to the Boudanath stupa, an immense Buddhist monument, and the Kathmandu Durbar Square.
Furthermore, enjoy the colorful sights of the fabled cities of Patan and Bhaktapur. Drive-up through scenic countryside to the vantage point of Nagarkot. From where you can get a spectacular panorama of the Himalayas along with mesmerizing sunrise and sunset view.

Glimpses of Nepal will take you to explore Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Changunarayan, Boudanath Stupa, Patan, and Swambhunath Stupa, world heritage sites.
Nagarkot boasts stunning vistas of the Himalayas, especially at sunrise. Along the way, you will pass through rural landscapes and villages. You will also have an option to take the famous mountain flight that takes you up close to Mt. Everest and several other peaks in the central Himalayas. This flight operates daily in the morning (weather permitting).
Detail Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu
Upon arrival, meet our guide and transfer to the hotel. This afternoon, an introductory tour of Kathmandu city with a walking tour to Kathmandu Durbar Square. Walk past Asan and Indrachowk markets towards Thamel-observing old houses, markets and temples. Explore Thamel, the center of tourists in Kathmandu, with shops selling souvenirs, handicrafts, trekking gears, and several good restaurants. In the evening dinner in a traditional Nepali restaurant with cultural performance. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Kathmandu UNESCO World Heritage Tour
Full-day guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley. Drive north of Thamel to the hilltop and visit the Swayambhunath temple, one of the oldest temples in the valley. Next, drive east to Boudhanath(Boudha), the largest and the most significant Buddhist monument. Thousands of pilgrims gather daily to make a kora (ritual circumnavigation) around the stupa. At a short distance from here is the Pashupatinath temple. The most important Hindu temple in Nepal. Then drive a short distance to Patan, known as the city of Arts. Patan is famous for its artistic heritage. Patan offers the finest of the Newari craft, typical Newari culture, and the finest Hindu and Buddhist monuments scattered around. The most popular places around Patan are Durbar Square, the Patan Museum, Krishna Mandir, and the Banglamukhi temple. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 3: Bhaktapur & Nagarkot
After breakfast, drive about 40 minutes to Bhaktapur. Bhaktapur is another unique and the most ancient city among the three cities in Kathmandu valley. Explore the Durbar Square, Nyatapol Temple, 55 windows palace, Bhairabnath Temple, Dattatraya Temple, and the Pottery Square. Watch the locals artisans at work and browse the shops for handicrafts. After the visit, drive to Changu Narayan, another UNESCO World Heritage site, a historic temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. From Changu Narayan we have the option to drive to Nagarkot(45min) or hike to Nagarkot(2-3hrs). The hike is mostly uphill and goes through forests, terraced rice fields, and villages. Meet the vehicle and drive to your hotel at Nagarkot. Nagarkot, located at a hilltop, provides one of the best possible views of the Himalayas, including Mt. Everest, Dorje Lakpa, Gaurishankar, Ganesh Himal, and other peaks. Depending on the available time, you can walk to the nearby villages or watch the sun-setting from your hotel. Overnight in Nagarkot.
Day 4: Departure:
Wake up early in the morning to observe the sunrise over the Himalayas. After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your next destination.
We can modify this itinerary to fit your arrival and departure timings. The itinerary can be done in reverse order staying the first night in Nagarkot or the first night in Kathmandu, 2nd night in Nagarkot, and return to Kathmandu for the third night.
