COVID-19 Updates
COVID-19 STATUS
Along with the rapid increase of the OMICRON variant earlier this year, the Government took swift measures and intensified the vaccination campaign. Since then, the country has made immense progress in vaccination. To date almost 62% of the population has received both doses, 75% received a single dose, and booster doses are also being given. The vaccination campaign is advancing speedily, and soon we expect, everyone will be fully vaccinated.
Besides, all tourism professionals (guides, porters, drivers, hoteliers, and other staff) have received their complete doses. Major trekking regions such as Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, Manaslu, Mustang, and Dolpo are open. Other popular tourist destinations such as Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, Lumbini are also open. Hotels, lodges, and teahouses along these routes and other places are fully operational, taking strict safety measures against COVID-19.
