His Majesty King Jigme Singye Wangchuck, the 4th King, was born on 11 November 1955 in Dechencholing Palace, Thimphu. HM King Jigme Singye Wangchuk abdicated throne in 2008. His birthday is a national holiday as well as the constitution day of Bhutan.
