About Haa Spring Festival
Unlike the monastic festivals described in many of Wind Horse’s Bhutan festival calendar, Haa Spring Festival is a non -religious community event organized by Haa Dzongkhang (district) administration to promote cultural and tourism event. Haa’s separate tshechu takes place in autumn.
Originally established in the early 2010s as the Haa Summer Festival and held in July, the event was officially shifted to April by the district administration in 2024 to take advantage of better spring weather and peak floral biodiversity.
