Ralang Monastery also known as Karma Rabtenling monastery is situated at a distance of 8 kilometres from Ravangla. Ralang Monastery is regarded as one of the most sacred and most important monasteries in Sikkim. Legend has it that this monastery was built to honor the successful pilgrimage of the fourth Chogyal to Tibet. The ground where the grains fell, eventually, became the site for the Ralang Monastery.
