In April 2026, during the spring trekking season in Nepal, my friend and I embarked on our first 6000m peak climb – Mera Peak – with Wind Horse Holiday’s. From start to finish, the trek was as seamless as could be. Although we faced some challenges, predominantly weather related, the team were excellent in managing and arranging alternative solutions without disruption to our journey. We could not have accomplished our achievement and dream of reaching the summit of Mera without our guide, Kumar, our Porters, Lakh Kumar and Aviraj as well as our climbing guide Wangchu Sherpa (whom we met in Khare) and of course, the dedicated management on the ground of Heera. Our team for the climb surpassed any expectations, making for a truly memorable experience and joyful completion of our summit.
