How frequent the rules change?

TAR and greater Tibet travel rules change frequently. Additional permits are required. Borders are closed and restrictions for travel to sensitive areas apply. These things normally happen when there are demonstrations in public, inside or outside TAR. In Sept. 2007, the Nepal border was briefly closed and we have had to divert our guests by flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa instead of going overland.
