Indian Travelers to Bhutan; we are Indian citizens and wish to travel to Bhutan. Do we need a visa and be a part of the organized tour. If it is possible to travel independently, any particular problems that people have faced in attempting such a thing in the past?

If you are an Indian National, either of  valid Indian passport or Voter’s card will suffice, Visa is not required. However You have to use the local operator such as Wind Horse Tours or any other to arrange logistics. You cannot do it independently. The local operator  will process for your route permits etc.

Also it is  required to produce Travel/Health Insurance copy and digital passport size photos of you.
