Chaite Dashain

Chaite Dashain is also known as small Dasain, in contrast with big Dasain in the month of Kartik, this Festival is celebrated on the eighth day of the lunar month of Chaitra and takes place exactly six month prior to the main Dasain. Goddess Durga is worshipped on this day. The Chaitie Dasain festival also is the time to start Seto (White) Machhendra Nath Chariot festival.
