Mongar Tsechu Festival

Mongar Tsechu is celebrated within the historic walls of Mongar Dzong and draws locals from both Mongar and Lhuentse districts. Coinciding with a regional public holiday, the festival sees schools, government offices, and institutions closed, allowing the entire community to come together in celebration.

The tsechu features a lively program of sacred mask dances, traditional folk performances, and colorful communal gatherings.
