Bhutan Tour for Sina Heider x her friends. April 2024

Kuzu Zangpo la Anand,

we are back from our tour and would like to send a big thank you to everyone who made this trip so amazing!
Thanks to your expertise and consulting, the final mix of hiking and culture was perfect and we got a very good first overview of the country. Seems as we have to come back one day to deep dive into other regions 😉
All chosen hotels have been super nice. We have been impressed by the high standard and the very friendly staff. Also the restaurants and the food in general have been amazing.
Who really made our trip unforgettable were of course our guide Tshering and our driver Yon-ten. Both are not only perfect hosts but also shared so many insights about the country, Bhutanese life and people with us. So it became a friends and family like atmosphere what is really rare to find and we are very grateful for this. The cultural knowledge of Tshering seems to be limitless – and the two gave their absolute all to meet all spontaneous requests. They even organized a private opening of the Paper Factory in Thimphu which would have been closed on Sundays -like some other sights in the itinerary. (This is maybe something you might want to consider when planning Thimphu visits. On Sunday not everything is possible).
We are back in Germany with a lot of special  memories and a thankful heart.

Wonderful Experience in Bhutan with the Wind Horse Team

Dear Anand,

Thank you so much for putting together our 6-day “Glimpses of Bhutan” itinerary with Tshering and Kinley. It was a good mix and pace, and we appreciated their flexibility to either take the time we needed or to take advantage of what was happening such as the religious events in Paro and Thimphu, and the road-side archery after visiting the Khamsum Yulley Chorten.

If I started to list highlights, I’d probably recite the itinerary but we particularly enjoyed Takstang and the hike to Khamsum Yulley Chorten with views over the valley below and surrounding golden rice fields. We also enjoyed ending the hike from Dochula at Tashigang Gompa, and stopping for fruit and veg at the Bjichulum Farmers Market.

I appreciated that Tshering took the time to advise restaurants about my dairy intolerance (City Hotel in Thimphu even made special dishes for me); and Kinley’s smooth and skillful driving. We appreciated their professionalism and willingness to go “above and beyond” to ensure we were looked after well.

We are now home with wonderful memories of beautiful places, stunning Dzongs, fascinating Buddhist temples, friendly people and time spent with Tshering and Kinley.

Bhutan has been on my list for many years and was well worth the wait! Hopefully, it won’t be my last visit! If we are ever able to visit again, I won’t hesitate to book with the Wind Horse Team!
