Galdan Namchot

Galdan Namchot is an important Tibetan Buddhist festival celebrated in Ladakh, India, particularly in Leh and its surrounding areas. It marks the birth anniversary of Lama Tsongkhapa, the founder of the Gelugpa school of Tibetan Buddhism, and is observed on the 25th day of the 10th Tibetan month, which usually falls in December or January.
