Thank you all for a most wonderful trip and experience of my lifetime…..Karen had a very full itinerary which worked well; sorry our timing was off to see the Black Neck Cranes but the center was a great alternative….I hope to get an update via email and see videos of their arrival this fall.

I’ll remember the beautiful country and the friendly English-speaking Bhutanese.  I had some wonderful conversations with people I met in passing and at the places we visited and stayed.

Our guide Kencho Tschering and Himrod, the best driver in Bhutan were terrific hosts and most flexible in stopping to car to see archers or monkeys or yaks.

I have 2 suggestions that I hope you will seriously consider and only 1 special request….

1. Obtain a reusable, filter water bottle – that could be imprinted with the Windhorse Logo – this could be given to each guest upon arrival (in different colors to keep them straight) and then refilled from a big jug of water in the car or from the glacier runoff…..less plastic to be recycled – see this website for ideas.  and a great reminder of a great trip.

2.  A foldable walking/trekking pole that could be available to guests….I stumbled twice not paying attention to my feet as I was looking all around me.

One final thing, I would like to purchase some better task lights for the close work the students at the National School of Art in Thimpu are studying and working on.  As an artist myself spending many hours at the work table doing fine detail work, a great light is essential.  These lights can be clamped to the desk, standing on the floor or hanging from the ceiling – I would like to help…..See this site.   Please let me know what you think is the best way to do this.

Thanks  again, I will highly recommend Windhorse to anyone traveling to Bhutan.
