Day 1:

Day 1: Drive from Pokhara to Marpha

Depart early in the morning from Pokhara by private 4WD, embarking on a scenic drive along the dramatic Kali Gandaki Gorge, one of the world’s deepest. Along the way, enjoy short walks and photo stops at charming Thakali villages like Ghasa, Kalopani, and Tukuche. Depending on time and interest, you also have the option to visit Titi Lake and local monasteries en route.

Arrive in the picturesque village of Marpha, famous for its apple orchards, clean stone-paved lanes, and Tibetan-influenced architecture. In the evening, explore the village and visit the serene Marpha Monastery, which belongs to the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism. Overnight in Marpha.

Day 2:

Excursion to Dhumba lake & Jomsom

After breakfast, set out on a gentle hike to the beautiful Dhumba Lake, a sacred glacial lake situated beneath the Nilgiri peaks, it will take 2-3hrs for round trip. Along the way also visit Thini Village, one of the oldest settlements in Mustang.

Return to Marpha for lunch, after lunch there is the option to drive to Jomsom and explore Jomsom, wisit the musuem, browse the local bazaar, or simply relax and enjoy the mountain views at your hotel in Marpha. Overnight in Marpha.

Day 3:

Drive to Kagbeni – Optional Hike to Muktinath, Visit Jharkot & Purang

This morning, drive to Kagbeni, a medieval village and the gateway to Upper Mustang. Explore the Kag Chode Monastery and wander its ancient stone alleys. From Kagbeni, those up for a moderate hike (approx. 3 hours) can ascend to Muktinath Temple, a revered site for both Hindus and Buddhists.

On the way back, visit Jharkot, known for its traditional Tibetan architecture and monastery, and continue to Purang, a scenic village below Muktinath. Depending on your pace and preference, return to Marpha for the night. Overnight in Marpha
