Phakding lodge at 2,610m, 4 hours from Lukla sits in a very tranquil spot on the banks of the river Dudh Koshi, with dramatic pine forested cliff faces on the opposite river bank. Enjoy the views from the pretty sunroom and later you can relax around the warmth of the fire. About an hours walk from the lodge is the Rumijung Monastery founded by the Sherpa Lama Khemp Dorje in the 16th century for those with extra energy to spend.
