For others, it was a life-changing leap into the travel trade, first as enthusiastic guides, then as seasoned professionals. Nepal shaped our passion for travel, molded our dreams, and continues to inspire everything we do at Wind Horse.
Founded with deep roots in this Himalayan nation, Wind Horse Tours officially began offering curated trips to Nepal in 1998. Many of us hail from here, and even as some team members have moved abroad to the USA and other regions, Nepal remains our spiritual and operational home. Our team is also closely connected with our thriving operations across India, Bhutan, and Tibet, creating a truly regional expertise.
Rediscovering Nepal Post-Covid
Before the global pandemic, our operations in Nepal were conducted under different local banners, often in collaboration with trusted local partners. However, the disruption caused by Covid-19 also sparked a moment of clarity and reinvention. Emerging from this pause, we made the decision to unite all our efforts under the Wind Horse brand in Nepal—bringing our signature ethos, commitment, and excellence directly under one banner.

Our Kathmandu-based team is the heart of Wind Horse Nepal. Comprising passionate professionals and seasoned guides, they bring decades of hands-on experience in organizing travel, adventure, and cultural experiences across Nepal’s diverse terrain—from the high Himalayas to the lush jungles of the Terai.
Many of our team members are well-traveled internationally, bringing with them a mature perspective shaped by global exposure and firsthand experience.
