Agatti Island
Agatti (occasionally called "Agathy") is a small 7 kilometer long island and has one of the most beautiful lagoons in Lakshadweep. The only airstrip or airport is built on this island. Airport code is AGX. From the aircraft, as you approach for a landing, you get a breath-taking view of the airstrip on the island. Agatti is the virtual gateway to the islands. . There is only one hotel or resort in Agatti, called Agatti Island Beach Resort. Indian Airlines operates a 10 seater Dornier to the island, while Kingfisher Airlines has its ATR72 from Cochin.
