Bhramaputra River
Bhramaputra or Siang river as it is known in Arunachal need special mention.
From more than two thousand kilometers from its source in Tibetan plateau, the Tsangpo river forsakes its arid environment and enters India near Gelling, forming a deepest gorge. For the next three hundred kilometers as it passes through the hills of Arunchal Pradesh, where it is known as the Siang (the heart of water). Most rivers of Arunchal, Nagaland, Assam and Bhutan drain into Siang and in the plains of Assam it meets Dihang and Lohit to become Brahmaputra (the son of God).
