Chingwa Tagtse Dzong
Chingwa fort, located on the ridge south west of the town, whose crumbling ramparts can also be seen from the Banso Marpo tomb of Songtsen Gampo, was the ancient residence of Yarlung kings before moving to Lhasa. It is over half hour walk uphill and provides good views.
