Khonoma Village || Angkami' main vilaage
Khonoma, Angkami Naga's main village is 20km west of Kohima. It is a hilltop community clinging to the slopes above the rice terraces. Khonoma is renowned for its cult of courage. Khonoma gate tells the story of the British infiltration into the Naga Hills in 19th century. Khonoma village have fort called Kuda in each of the three khels or locality.
