Labrang Monastery || Labrang Monastery
Labrang Monastery is situated at a distance of about 2 km from Phodong . This monastery belonging to the Nyingmapa sect was built by Gyalshe Rigzing Chempa in the memory of Latsun Chembo of Kongpu (Tibet). The monastery houses a Buddhist museum with a vast collection of of Buddha statues, sutras and murals along with Tibetan language books, books on medicine, calendars, music and art objects.
