Lachung || Lachung
Lachung is a small town situated at an elevation of about 2900m at the confluence of Lachen and Lachung chu. The word Lachung means small pass, before the Chinese occupation of Tibet, it was a trading post between Sikkim and Tibet. Lachung is the the base camp for Rhododendron valley trek that starts from Yumthang valley and ends at Lachen valley.
