Maenam Hill || Maenam Hill
Situated at an altitude of 3140m, it is about 12 kms uphill trek from Ravangla The route winds through a thick forest of oak, chestnut, rhododendron and magnolia. This area is designated as a wildlife sanctuary and its natural habitat are red panda, barking and musk deer, Himalayan black bear etc. A short distance away is the legendary Bhalay Dunga, a kind of rocky spur which juts out from the ridge top and remains suspended in the air above Yangyang village.
