Mentsikhang (Tibetan Medicine Institute) || Institute of Tibetan Medicine and Astrology
Institute of Tibetan Medicine and Astrology was first established in 1916 by Dr. Khyenrab Norbu in a two-storey building. The present multi-storey building is bit to east. It functions as outpatients’ department and the offices of Tibetan Medical and Astrological research. Tibetan medicine has a history of more than 2300 years, assimilated with local knowledge and beliefs and with traditional medicine of the Chinese and Indian Homeopathy.
