Orchid Sanctuary || Orchid Sanctuary
Orchid Sanctuary situated just beside the Institute of Tibetology is famous for its rare and extensive collection of orchids. Out of 454 species of orchids, about 200 species are found in Sikkim and most of these Orchids are native to Sikkim. Besides Orchids, there are also about 40 species of rhododendron found in the sanctuary. A visit to the sanctuary, especially during the blooming season would be an interesting event for nature lovers.
