Rabdentse Ruins || Rabdentse Ruins

Rabdentse was the second capital of Sikkim till 1814 A.D., it was destroyed by the invading Gurkha army and only the ruins of the palace and the chortens are seen now. The Archaeological Society of India has fully excavated and restored the site. The ruins are situated amidst deep forest and from the top of the ruins one can experience astounding views of the Kanchanjunga range, forested hills and the valleys below.
