The road from Gangtok to Darjeeling descends down the hill and crosses over the Rangpo river into West Bengal. From here the road follows the Teesta river until the Teesta bridge and takes a diversion along steep and winding road through Peshok tea garden and Takdah forest block until Ghoom. From Ghoom it is a gradual downhill ride until the beautiful town of Darjeeling.
