Tsetang Monastery
Located at the entrance of the old Tibetan quarter, Tsetang monastery was originally a Kagyu site, founded by Tai Situ of Phakmodrupa in 14th century. Gelukpas took over in the 18th century, dismantled, erected and renamed as Ganden Chokhorling. In 1960s only outer shell was spared and later three storeys were restored.
