Dear Jambay,
We enjoyed our dinner with you and I am sure that I speak in behalf of my travel companions when I say that we came away not only with a great impression of Bhutan but also of Windhorse. The book you gave us on Bhutan is quite well done and has beautiful photographs.

Our communications with you were consistently very efficient, the program was great, we liked the hotels, and both sets of tour guides and drivers were excellent. We learned a lot from Sonam and  Kezang who were always on time, very attentive, flexible when we wanted to change something, and knowledgeable.

When the trip was planned, road conditions were probably different but the day we drove from Trongsa to Punakha took over nine hours even without the planned stop in Gangtey which we had to cancel. The widening of the road meant that most of the trip (which started half an Hour late because a landslide had blocked the road) was unpaved, bumpy and after a whole quite grueling.  It also. Must have been very taxing on our driver who did an excellent job.  It all worked out but I would not recommend it for future visitors and there was no time that day to do anything as there was on all other days.

Having said that, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Bhutan, will tell our friends about Windhorse in glowing terms, and hope to come back one day.

There is one small matter that I forgot to finalize. Kezang mentioned the night before I left that I owe Windhorse a small amount for the hotel where you were able to arrange a separate room for me. Our departure was so early in the morning that all of us totally forgot about it. Could you let me know what the amount is so I can send it to you.

I would also like to remind you of the invoice of the charges related to my wife’s and my earlier trip cancellation dated as per my earlier email which the insurance company apparently requires.  Thank you.

Bhutan is a fascinating country and visiting it was easily one of the most memorable trips I have ever taken. The planning on the part of Wind Horse (superlative), guides (most knowledgeable) and drivers (the best and safest) made our visit ideal. Only the drive on the East-West highway with work being done between Bumthang and Punakha via Trongsa was uncomfortable and long, but we survived it.

Hello,

We have just finished our trip in Bhutan and I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for a great organisation, which made our trip even more memorable. Everything was perfect, from the guide, driver, hotels to amazing sights.
Bhutan is amazing country and I will make sure that I will recommend your travel agency to my friends who will visit Bhutan.
In general, we have shared the remarks with the guide: only downside was the quality of the food in our hotel in Phunaka and it might be better to plan Haa valley in the beginning to just avoid long ride in one of the days. But that’s pretty much is. Our guide, Kencho, was very good with high knowledge of the country. Make sure you keep him 🙂
Once again, big THANK YOU!

Kind regards,
Miroslav

We really enjoyed the trip and organization despite the fact that my husband got sick the second day we arrived.

Dear Anand, – We really enjoyed the trip and organization despite the fact that my husband got sick the second day we arrived.

Within the highest positive experiences are flexibility of the the itinerary and the way our trip was promptly rearrange when we missed the flight. I also have to mention our guide a – un-bothering personality and great knowledge about the country, traditions and Buddhism.

Scenery/sightseeing was covered well. As for the suggestions – it would have been nice to see local culture – dancing/singing, maybe some performances. We spotted some kind of the dancing in the hotel in the last night, but only the last 5 min.

Hopefully my feedback will be useful. Thanks again for the great time we had in Bhutan.

with best regards,

We are very happy to have met him and his knowledge of the area and specific sites are phenomenal.

Dear Anand,
Sorry for the delayed reply.
Overall, we had a fabulous time!  Our guide Kezang and driver Chimi provided lots of insight, guidance, and knowledge to us (and kept us safe on the roads in Bhutan).  And we really appreciated the photo stops!

Our guide Kezang is one amazing individual.  We are very happy to have met him and his knowledge of the area and specific sites are phenomenal.  (His devotion to Buddhism is very beneficial for tourism in Bhutan.)  This was especially evidenced to us when another guide (from a different group) was asking questions in the temple that Kezang easily provided answers.  In addition, Kezang and Chimi brought us around with a smile and left us with a truly positive lasting impression of the people of Bhutan – one that we believe to be wholeheartedly embracing the concept of happiness.

We will be more than happy to provide more information if you need!  In addition, I haven’t yet had a chance to go through my photos for color correction, but will likely be sending some over (if you still wanted some…)

Kind regards,
