We had a great time in Bhutan and would recommend Bhutan and Windhorse to our friends. Sonam and "0007" did a great job, particularly as needed to plan around some bad weather. We enjoyed all the activities and the food was great. It was really appreciated that bottle water was always on hand.
Thank you Windhorse for a fantastic trip to Bhutan.

We enjoyed our dinner with you and I am sure that I speak in behalf of my travel companions when I say that we came away not only with a great impression of Bhutan but also of Windhorse. The book you gave us on Bhutan is quite well done and has beautiful photographs.
Our communications with you were consistently very efficient, the program was great, we liked the hotels, and both sets of tour guides and drivers were excellent. We learned a lot from Sonam and Kezang who were always on time, very attentive, flexible when we wanted to change Read more

Dear Ugen and Jambay,
I am finally back home from my trip.
I would like to send you this email to thank you for the great trip and the service WindHorse has provided. Bhutan is the 2nd most beautiful place that I have seen in the world.
Except one incident with the hotel in Trongsa, I have a lot of positive comments to say about WindHorse and the itinerary.
I am sure you have put a lot of thoughts about the proposed walking itinerary which is the best to my opinion. The flight to Bumthang made a lot of sense. Starting from Bumthang back to Read more

"We enjoyed our trip and were looked after very well by Yonten throughout. We were very pleased by the service we received. The only thing which was not good at all was the weather and we could not change that. Yonten is a charming guide and always thinks ahead to anticipate problems and think of solutions. He was knowledgeable but also discrete in giving us time to ourselves and he was very good company for the three and a half weeks. He also took good care of our safety at all times at high altitude."regards, Read more

Bhutan is a fascinating country and visiting it was easily one of the most memorable trips I have ever taken. The planning on the part of Wind Horse (superlative), guides (most knowledgeable) and drivers (the best and safest) made our visit ideal. Only the drive on the East-West highway with work being done between Bumthang and Punakha via Trongsa was uncomfortable and long, but we survived it. Read more

It was nice to meet you yesterday at the airport and we hope your travels in China are going well.
We would like to emphasize how pleased we were with Kinley during our time in Bhutan. She was very knowledgeable about the places we visited, she was always smiling and laughing, and she took every opportunity to make sure we were comfortable and happy. It was so nice being led be a female guide, and especially one who brought so much energy and humor not only to us but to all the local people she knows along the way. The Read more

We are now at the airport after a fantastic time in Bhutan. Thank you for all your organisation and your very kind invitation to dinner and the hot stone bath. It was an honour to visit you and Tashi in your home for our best meal in Bhutan.
We were very sad to say goodbye to Sonam and Jigme. Please thank them for their care and attention throughout our trip. They have been excellent.

We have just finished our trip in Bhutan and I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for a great organisation, which made our trip even more memorable. Everything was perfect, from the guide, driver, hotels to amazing sights.
Bhutan is amazing country and I will make sure that I will recommend your travel agency to my friends who will visit Bhutan.
In general, we have shared the remarks with the guide: only downside was the quality of the food in our hotel in Phunaka and it might be better to plan Haa valley in the beginning to just avoid Read more
Tour of Tibet, Nepal and Bhutan
Dr Bradford Davey Florida, USA Trip Date:

We recently had the pleasure of traveling through Tibet, Nepal, and Bhutan with Wind Horse Tours. They offer a number of different options and have expert guides in each country. They worked very hard to develop an itinerary that worked for everyone in the group (6 of us total) and made adjustments on the fly as necessary. This is a fairly difficult part of the world to navigate and they really did do a nice job.
The accommodations throughout the trip were good to excellent and our guides did a nice job of calling in advance to see that things were Read more
Customised Mountain biking with active Adventure
Dianne Rosse San Francisco, California Trip Date:

We spent 15 days in Bhutan touring the country on mountain bikes, 4 wheel drive, horseback, and day hiking. It was an adventure of a lifetime, and really made so by our guides, Sonam and Sonam, and the organization of Wind Horse Tours, Treks, & Expeditions. This was a custom trip, as it was just two of us. The people at Wind Horse were really great at putting our trip together. They were extremely flexible and had a lot of great ideas for things a bit off the beaten track. I don't even really know how to describe it, except Read more
