About the resort
Set beside the Pa Chhu River in the heart of Paro Valley, Tashi Namgay Resort is spread across spacious lawns, fruit trees, and landscaped gardens. It sits across the river from the airport, offering convenient access while feeling removed from the noise and activity of Paro town. Guests may enjoy views of the river and, from some rooms, aircraft arriving and departing.
The resort combines traditional Bhutanese-inspired design with modern comforts. Reviews often highlight the spacious rooms and welcoming, attentive staff, while on-site facilities include a restaurant, bar, spa, fitness center, Bhutanese hot-stone baths, and a swimming pool in the newer wing. Archery and dart fields add recreational options, and just outside the gate is Tashi Namgay Artisanal Brewery, described as Bhutan’s first microbrewery and pub.
This is a good fit for travelers seeking a scenic, peaceful resort with convenient airport access and a range of on-site amenities. The grounds are extensive, and Paro town is a drive away. Guest experiences with dining and room details vary, so it is best presented as a comfortable resort with a strong sense of place rather than a uniformly polished luxury stay.
Just outside its entrance gate is a popular Namgay Artisanal Brewery, a micro brewery with pub.

We’ve watched it grow from a modest hotel into a spacious, sprawling resort, with thoughtful additions and renovations along the way, and it remains one of our favorite places to welcome guests.
Though rated 3 stars, Tashi Namgay offers facilities many 4-star hotels don’t have: a swimming pool, event center, private VIP room, gym, yoga hall, coference and cafe etc.
