Jet Airways expands seat selection

29 August 2016

Bulkhead and extra legroom seats now available.

Jet Airways has expanded its seat selection service to allow economy class passengers to reserve bulkhead and extra legroom seats.

With immediate effect, bulkhead seats – the front row of the economy class cabin – and seats with extra legroom will be included in the airline’s ‘Seat Select’ feature, which allows guests to reserve their seat for a fee. Seats can be selected from the time of booking until 24 hours prior to departure.

Premium passengers and members of Jet’s frequent flyer programme will be offered the service free-of-charge.

“Jet Airways has always endeavoured to craft the best possible in-flight experience for all of our guests. Expanding our ‘seat select’ service to include the bulkhead seats is another step towards doing that,” said Gaurang Shetty, Jet’s wholetime director.

Guests will be charged INR600 (approx. US$9) for seat selection on domestic routes and INR1,000-3,500 (US$15-52) on international routes for bulkhead and exit row seats. All other rows are available for INR300 on domestic routes and INR500-1,750 on international sectors.

Seat selection bookings can be made on the airline’s website or via travel agents.
