Bhutan introduces new travel incentive to encourage longer stays for tourists (other than Indian Nationals) for those travelling after June 1st 2023.
Bhutan’s Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) is currently set at US$200 per person, per night for all guests (excluding Indian nationals) and $100 for children (6-12 years) and free for for children of 5 years and below.
Following are the new incentives for travel after June 1st 2023 and is valid for a period of a year.

  • 4 + 4: Pay the SDF for four nights, and receive up to four additional nights without the daily levy.
  • 7 + 7: Pay the SDF for seven nights, and receive up to seven additional nights without the daily levy.
  • 12 + 18: Pay the SDF for twelve nights, and receive up to eighteen additional nights without the daily levy.
