Tibetans in Qinghai
Much of the region once known as the Amdo Tibetan area falls into Qinghai province. These areas are grassland region around the upper reaches of Yellow, Min and Jialing rivers. Amdo is the region in which Tibetan population has been most exposed over the centuries to cultural contacts with neighboring Tu, Salar, Mongolian, Hui and Han Chinese and yet again there are some areas and much nomadic.
