Langtang Gosainkunda Sundarijal Trek is an extraordinary journey that takes you across pristine landscape of the Langtang valley, the sacred Gosainkunda lake, meadows with exceptional views of Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa and other peaks along with the opportunity to explore the Tamang and Sherpa villages. The Langtang valley is one of the most popular trekking area in Nepal, unlike other regions the trekking trails less crowded where you will get to observe different cultural experience and diverse flora and fauna.
Lantang Gosainkunda Sundarijal Trek starts from Syabrubesi and gradually ascends along the Langtang Khola, passing through forests, alpine meadows and yak pastures to Kyanjin Gompa. From Kyangjin Ri we can get the 360 degree mountain views, we retrace back to Lama Hotel. Then continue further to Gosainkunda lakes across the Lauribina pass and then continue further to the beautiful Helambu region and finally back to Kathmandu via Sundarijal.
Day 1. Arrival in Kathmandu.
Upon arrival at the airport our representative/guide will meet you and transfer you to your designated hotel. Depending on your arrival time you may either relax at your hotel or take a self guided tour around the city. Evening dinner at a traditional Nepali Restaurant. Overnight in hotel.
Day 2. In Kathmandu(trek preparation).
Today in the first half, we will visit some of the major UNESCO World Heritage Sites within the city, that may include Pasupatinath temple, Boudanath Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square. The later part of the day we shall keep as preparation and planning for the trek. Overnight in hotel.
Day 3. Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,550m/7-8 hrs)
Today we drive to Syabrubesi the starting point of our trek. The drive is quite scenic along banks of Trishuli river with beautiful views of valleys, meadows, rivers and mountains. Overnight in trekkers lodge.
Day 4. Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2,380m/6 hrs)
Today the trail goes along the Langtang river across forests of oak and rhododendron, verdant meadows and several Tamang villages. With stunning vista of great Himalayan peaks and finally ascends through Rimche and end at Lama Hotel. Overnight in trekkers lodge.
Day 5. Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang village(Sherpagaon/Mundu 3543m/6-7 hrs)
We begin with a gentle ascend above the Langtang Khola but soon turns into a steep climb. The trail goes through rhododendron and pine forest with view of the Langtang Lirung and further up to the meadows of Ghoda Tabela. Further on, the route opens up into a wide valley of yak pastures and scattered Tamang villages with water-driven mills and prayer wheels. Depending on the time we shall either halt for the night at Sherpagaon or Mundu village. Overnight in trekkers lodge..
Day 6. Mundu/Sherpagaon to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m/4-5 hrs)
Today the trial passes across tiny villages, stone-built houses up to a Chorten on a gentle path to Kyanjin Gompa. After lunch we could either choose to rest or visit the monastery, cheese factory and explore around the village with beautiful views of Langtang Lirung, Kyanjin RI, Tserko RI, Langshisha Ri, Yala Peak and others. Day 7. Excursion to Tserko Ri (5000m/5-6 hrs)
After breakfast, trek for about 5 hours to summit the Tserko Ri. The trail begins on a flat path but soon turns into a steep climb, the climb gets more difficult and tough until the summit. The summit of Tserko Ri provides a stunning 360° view of Langtang valley along with the amazing views of the Yala Peak (5,520m), Langtang Ri (7,205m), Langtang Lirung (7,227m) and Naya Khang (5,844m) making it the most unforgettable experience of our life. After spending some time at the summit, we will descend down and retrace back to Kyanjin Gompa. Overnight in trekkers lodge.
Day 8. Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel(6-7 hrs)
Today we retrace our steps back to Lama Hotel. The trail is mostly downhill passing through forests and villages with the view of the snow covered peaks along the way. Overnight in trekkers lodge.
Day 9. Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (2260m/6hrs)
Today we begin with a gentle descent down to the river through beautiful pine and Juniper forest and then it is a steep climb to Thulo Syabru. Thulo Syabru is a lovely village that has preserved the ethnic custom, culture, and tradition of the Tamang people. Enjoy the magnificent view of nature with splendid views of Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal and other peaks. Overnight in trekkers lodge.
Day 10. Thulo Syabru to Sing Gomba(3330m/5hrs)
Leaving Thulo Syabru we ascend steeply uphill through forests of oak, hemlock and rhododendron across pasture lands to the ridge at Phoprang. And from here the trail goes along the ridge top and finally to Sing Gompa.

Day 11. Sing Gompa to Gosainkunda(4460m/5-6hr)
Today we start with a steep climb up to a ridge with great view of the Langtang Lirung himal. The trail to Lauribina la pass is a steep one over harsh mountain surrounding. After walking for about three hours we finally reach the Lauribina la pass. After a short break at the Pass, we continue our journey and reach a small ridge, from where we shall have the first views of the holy lakes. There are about a dozen lakes in the Gosaikunda basin of which Saraswatikunda, Bhairavkunda and Gosainkunda are the prominent ones. Overnight in trekkers lodge
Day 12. Gosaikunda to Ghopte(3440m/7hrs).
After witnessing the beautiful sunrise view along with the panaromic view of the Himalayas, we retrace our step back to Lauribina la pass. From here it is a steep descent over a rough trail with some up and down on several stretches to Ghopte. Overnight in trekkers lodge.
Day 13. Gopte - Tharepati – Magingoth(3420m/5-6hrs)
From the ridge at Ghopte, the trail descends and ascends several times across ravines and rocks and then ascends through rhododendron, oak and juniper forest to Tharepati. From Tharepati, the trail passes through pine and rhododendron forest to Magingoth. Overnight in trekkers lodge.
Day 14. Magingoth-Kutumsang-Golbhanjyang(2140m/5-6hrs)
We descend through fir and rhododendron forest with beautiful views of snow capped peaks until Kutumsang and then finally to the charming village of Golbhanjyang. Overnight in trekkers lodge.
Day 15. Golbhanjyang-Chisopani(2300m/5hrs)
Continue along the forested ridge climbing to Thodang Betini, Chipling and then descend down to Patib hanjyang. From Pati Bhanjyang continue on to Chisopani for the night. Overnight in trekkers lodge.
Day 16. Chisopani-Sundarijal(4hrs)-Kathmandu(1hr)
The trail climbs gently to a ridge and then descends down through the forest to Sundarijal. Upon arrival we will board into a private vehicle and drive to Kathmandu. Overnight in hotel.
Day 17. Departure.
Transfer to the airport for departure.
