Drive from Bumthang to Punakha
Retrace the drive from Jakar to Punakha, passing through Yotongla Pass (3,420 meters above sea level), then continue to Trongsa Valley. Proceed to Wangdue and Punakha Valley, crossing Pele La pass at an elevation of 3,423 meters, before diverting towards Gangtey in Phobjika Valley. Descend from the pass road through shifting vegetation to the semi-tropical town of Wangdiphodrang and Punakha covering a distance of approximately 201 kilometers and taking around 5 hours.
