Trek Gasa Tsachu - Geon Damji - Punakha
After a short climb from the hot springs, the trail winds through the rolling hills and passes through pine and oak forests, villages and wheat fields. If you look back, you will see the beautiful view of the Gasa Dzong, glued to the valley wall seeming to float in space. The trek ends around the afternoon near the village of Goen Damji (2430m). After assembling the gears, drive along the new road to Punakha(45kms/2hrs), the road plunges through deep sub-tropical forests filled often with lots of wild animals and birds.
Note: Depending upon the road condition, you may have to walk till the point where the vehicle can meet.
