Trongsa, a small town at an elevation of 2,200m, is strategically positioned at the geographic center of Bhutan. Despite its size, it has played a significant role in the country's history. Perched on a ridge, this town offers splendid panoramic views of the surrounding valleys, with the majestic Trongsa Dzong crowning another ridge, visible from every corner of the town. It serves as a crucial crossroads junction, where the east-west highway intersects with the road leading south to Shemgang.
