World Peace Pagoda || A symbol of peace

World Peace Pagoda also known as the Shanti Stupa is a Buddhist pagoda style monument. This stupa stands on a hill top overlooking the Phewa lake. As the name suggests, this stupa is dedicated to world peace and is the second in Nepal besides the one in Lumbini. Besides being an impressive sight in itself, the stupa is a great vantage point, which offers spectacular views of the Himalayan range, Phewa lake and the Pokhara city. The hilltop also provides splendid sunrise and sunset views. There are several ways how to get to the stupa. For those who love hiking, the best and the most popular option will be to take a 20 minute boat ride across the Phewa lake and hike for about an hour through the Raniban to the Stupa. For those who are less adventurous can take a private car or a public transport
