Thimphu to Trongsa || Road from Thimphu to Trongsa
The drive from Thimphu to Trongsa takes about 6-7hrs and covers about 200kms. From Thimphu the road ascends until Dochula Pass(3050mts) and then descends into Wangdue and Punakha valley(1400mts). After passing Wangdue town, the road ascends up the Black Mountain National park passing through some roadside villages and finally winds up to Pele la pass(3420mts). Take a brief stop to view the snow clad peaks, including that of Bhutan's sacred peak Mt. Chomolhari. After the pass descend and pass through the villages of Rukubji, Sephu, Chendebji and several other villages, with spectacular landscape of Mangde Chu gorge and arrive at Trongsa.
