Trek Toktu Zampa - Ngang Lhakhang || First day trek
After breakfast drive north for about 20 minutes and start trek from Toktu Zampa bridge, the trail is gradual and it follows to the right bank of the Bumthang Choskor Chu river. After 20 minutes of hike arrive at Thankabi village with an old monastery built in 1470. Walk through the village, buckwheat fields, meadows and forests of blue pine trees. The last leg of the trek is a steep climb of about ½ hour and than it is a gradual walk to Ngang-yul(Swan Land) at 2850m. The camp site is beside the village with an opportunity to explore the village in the evening. (Approx. distance 12kms /4-5 hours /ascent 170m)
