Trek Jimilangtsho to Phajoding || Druk Path Trek

Today's trek is a long one, so start early! Depending on your pace, your guide may also suggest changing it so you can trek to Simkota Tso, camp halfway, and have a longer but more downhill hike tomorrow.
Begin the ascent out of Jimilangtso Lake through dwarf rhododendron trees, passing the small lake of Janeetsho. You may come across some Yak herder camps and then arrive at Simkota Lake after walking for 11 km in about 4 hours.
Continue the walk for another 10 km, taking another 4 hours or so. The trail gradually climbs, making several switchbacks with amazing views, to finally reach Phume La, the highest point of your trek at 4210m. Weather permitting, you can also see Gangkar Phuensum, Bhutan's highest peak. From Phume La, you can enjoy gorgeous views of Thimphu. Then make a steep descent through the juniper bushes to the campsite at Phajoding (3600m).
