Since our founding in early 1998 in Bhutan, we have grown into a network of small offices, managed by local partners with some common shares and stakes in the company.
Wind Horse in Bhutan is owned and operated by a group of Bhutanese Tour Guides. Initially, it was started by two Guides, and then over the years, we have added several Guides as our partners. In addition to the partners, each year our company distributes part of the profit among the staff. This has also helped us retain the best staff in Bhutan.
Our field staff, such as guides and drivers, are among the best. They are well-trained and chosen from among the best in the country. Among others, they are also chosen for good demeanor, flexibility, humor, and willingness to work hard for your enjoyment. They are chosen for their enthusiasm and passion to travel, share, and learn with you.
